Seoul

Seoul is the capital city of Korea. Therefore, there are many different tourists sites that you can visit. But actually, today, I would like to introduce you the sites that tourist websites will usually not introduce to you! These places are where KOREAN PEOPLE mostly visits to take a break from their lives, not the TOURISTS to go on sightseeing. Most importantly, they are free! Hence, if you would like to spend your day in Korea with some flexibility and calmness, I am confident these places will fit to you~

Seoul Folk Flea Market 서울풍물시장
You can find various antiques in this flea market. Of course, there are many beautiful and cute basic household items that you can store them as the souvenir (or use it!). As well, there are some places that you can have experience in 1970s-80s Korea. 

Jeongdong-gil 정동길

Walkthrough this beautiful & historic street and you will be able to learn and interact with modern Korean history! There are former US embassy (built at 1883), Deoksugung, and Jeongdong Theater (built at 1995), which are all the historical sites for Korean history!   

Ikson-dong Traditional Street 익선동 한옥거리
Ikson-dong has not been well known to both Korean people and foreigners as the traditional village & street. However, as other traditional streets became full of the tourists, Ikson-dong got popular among the people as the place you can take a rest and enjoy the traditional culture and houses of Korea. 

Seonyudo Park 선유도 공원
Seonyudo in Korean means Seonyu island. In fact, seonyudo Park is the island located ON Han River of Seoul. Its scenic view made this place to be a popular photo spot among Korean people. If you take to a beautiful photo in Seoul, here is your place for the background! 

Gwanghwamun Sqare 광화문 광장
The center of Korean Democracy. The center of Korean people’s soul – Even these words cannot fully explain the importance of Gwanghwamun Square in Korean society. Located in front of the KyeongBok Palace, Gwanghwamun allows you to feel the soul of Seoul and Korea.
